What is MassCasts?
MassCasts is digital signage from Mass Coms. It runs in your browser and plays on low-cost Android screens. Every day it shows your playlists and schedules. When a lockdown, evacuation or invacuation is declared in the Mass Coms emergency platform, every paired screen switches to a full-screen alert with the response plan, then returns to normal when you stand down.

Every screen becomes an emergency display.
Most signage stays on the lunch menu while staff try to get people out. Here, the screens in reception, the canteen and the corridors are wired into Mass Coms. One declaration changes all of them at once, and each one shows the way out from where it hangs.
- Alert colour, wording and response plan set per scenario
- Siren and spoken announcement on screens running the app
- "You are here", the nearest exit and the right assembly point
- Back to the playlist automatically when you stand down
From a spare TV to a live screen in four steps.
No media player to buy and nothing to install on your computer. A screen pairs in about a minute.

Signage and safety in one system, not two.
Signage tools play content but know nothing about an incident. Alerting tools reach phones but not the screens in the hall. This does both.

Reception greets every visitor by name.
When someone signs in at the Mass Coms visitor kiosk, the screen behind the desk pauses its playlist, shows a welcome with their name, company and host, then carries on. Staff get their own design. You choose which screens do it.

Questions people ask first.
Every question answeredWhat is MassCasts?
MassCasts is browser-based digital signage for UK schools, venues and workplaces. Screens show your menus, notices and welcomes every day, and switch to a full-screen emergency alert in under a second when a lockdown or evacuation is declared in Mass Coms.
What hardware do I need for digital signage?
Any TV or monitor with an HDMI port plus a Fire TV Stick (Fire OS 7 or newer) or an Android 8.0+ TV box, tablet or display. A Fire TV Stick costs around £30. No proprietary media player is needed.
How fast do screens show an emergency alert?
Every paired screen switches to the alert in under a second, in sync across the site. Screens running the MassCasts player app also sound a siren and read the announcement aloud.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Screens cache their content and keep playing through network outages, then reconnect by themselves.
How much does MassCasts cost?
£99 per screen per year, billed annually. Book 3 or more screens and one licence is free, so 3 screens cost £198 a year and 10 cost £891. It is an add-on to the Mass Coms platform.
Can screens welcome visitors by name?
Yes. When someone signs in at a Mass Coms visitor kiosk, the screens you choose show a welcome with their name, company and host, then return to their playlist.
Watch your own screens take over.
In a demo we design a page with you, pair a screen and trigger a test incident, so you see exactly what people in the building would see.
